Gaddafi's tyranny in Libya is at its last gasp. This is good news because the dictator is pretty mad and very bad, and has contrived considerable evil in the world. But David Cameron's remarks about "˜difficult days ahead' understate the case. Many months of uncertainty loom before we discover whether Colonel Gaddafi will be replaced by something better, or whether his country will degenerate into civil war as Libya's tribes contest dominance.
